I drink deep draughts of Lan-ling wine fragrant with borage made,
The liquid amber mantling up in cups of costly jade.
My host insists on making me as drunk as any sot,
Until I'm quite oblivious of the exile's wretched lot.
The good wine of Lanling smells of appleseed: Come, fill to the brim my jade bowl with glowing amber. If only mine host can make me drunk, I shall not worry if there is a strange country. The delicious wine of Lan-ling is of golden hue and flavorous. Come, fill my precious glass, and let it glow in amber! If you can only make me drunk, mine host, it is enough; No longer shall I know the sorrow of a strange land. |

蘭陵の美酒は鬱金香がかおって、玉のさかずきになみなみと注ぐと、目にも美しい透きとおった琥珀色の光!この家の主人が旅人のわしを十分酔わしてくれさえすれば、それこそわが故郷さ、ここがどこだろうと、他國とは思えないよ。
蘭陵（らんりょう）の美酒（びしう） 鬱金香（うつこんかう）。 玉碗（ぎょくわん）盛（も）り來（きた）る 琥珀（こはく）の光（ひかり）。 但々（ただ）主人（しゅじん）をして能（よ）く客（かく）を酔（え）はしめば、 知（し）らず 何（いづ）れの處（ところ）か是（こ）れ他鄉（たきゃう）。 蘭陵の美酒 鬱金香。 玉碗盛り來る 琥珀の光。 但々主人をして能く客を酔はしめば、 知らず 何れの處か是れ他鄉。 |
