A sea bird knows the coming of storm,
He seeks refuge east of Lu city-gate.
A cup before him, he would not drink;
Flapping his wings, he desires to fly high.
He finds no delight in bells and drums,
And no one would share with him mist and forest.
Ready for return home, he could not bear to leave;
Tears flow as he bids farewell to herons and ducks.
