WEl-CH'ÊNG'S morning rain has moistened the earth;
The willows round the inn are newly green.
Have yet another drink;
west of Yang-kuan There will be no more trace of bosom friends.
The morning rain of Wei city wets the white dust, The inns are green, the willows are in spring. May I advise you to empty one more cup, For west of the Yuan-kuan hills you will find no friend. A morning rain has settled the light dust in the city of Wei, And slaked the thirst of green willows framing the guest house. Come, my comrades, drink with me one more cup of wine— West of the frontier you will meet no more old friends. City on Wei the morning rain wet on light dust Around the inn green willows fresh I summon you: Drink one more cup No old friends, my friend When you start westward for Yang Kuan THE morning rains of Wei Ch'êng moisten the light dust, At the guest house the willow buds are green. 渭城（いじょう）の朝（あさ）の雨（あめ）は、軽（かる）いちり・ほこりをも、しっとりとしめらせ、旅館（りょかん）のあたりに見（み）える背々とした柳（やなぎ）の色（いろ）が、あざやかである。
さあ、君（きみ）よ、どうかもう一杯（いっぱい）の酒（さけ）を飲（の）みほしたまえ。ここから西（にし）、陽関（ようかん）を出（で）たならば、もう、このように酒（さけ）をくみかわす親（した）しい友人（ゆうじん）もなくなるのであろうから。
