Deep in the mountain wilderness where nobody ever comes
Only once in a great while something like the sound of a far off voice,
The low rays of the sun slip through the dark forest,
And gleam again on the shadowy moss.
There was no sight of man in the immense mountain, Yet human voices were continually being heard. The sun reflects the distant scenes into the thick woods, Forming patterns on the green moss. On the lonely mountain I meet no one, I hear only the echo of human voices, At an angle the sun’s rays enter the depths of the wood, And shine upon the green moss. Remote the mountains, where no one is seen, Though human voices resound. $At dusk,$ Reflected sunlight enters the forest deep, Once again setting the green moss aglow. |
