I am a roamer far from home although it's late in the year ,
While still the war is going on at the remote frontier .
The border tribes make clouds of dust when invading the Peak
Snow ,
The riverain town is shaken by drums and horns they boom
and blow .
Heaven and Earth are bleeding every day , and to the King
Who will volunteer himself for service and the field win ?
To fight the troublous times I shall not shrink from facing
death ,
Yet my brave heart can only be sore about my loneliness .
