When comes to Sichuan news of the recapture
Of Ji , my tears stream down , wetting my vesture .
Wherefore then , should my spouse have her tortures ?
I roll up my scrolls of poetry with raptures !
Drinking hard while singing aloud is fair in broad day ;
The verdure spring will with us go home all the way .
Glide through Gorge Wu just as from Gorge Ba we'll start ,
Then sail to Luoyang after from Xiangyang we'll part !
