The way to Kunwu and Yusu was a twist to make ,
The Purple Peak's penumbra fell in the Meipi Lake .
The parrots pecked at the fragrant paddy grain ,
The phoenixes perched on the branches of the old plane .
The fairs greet'd each other , plucking the spring bloom ,
With my good friends we oared even in the gloom .
The day was when my magic pen did please the King ,
Bending my hoary head , I now but hope and sing .
