Facing the Zhongnan Hill the Penglai Palace rises high ,
With brazen poles upholding the dew-plates to sky .
One may descry the West Queen descending her Fairy Pond ,
And Lao Zi passing Hangu Pass with purple mist around.
When pheasant-tail-fans move like clouds rolling away ,
In a shining dragon-scaled-robe appears His Majesty.
Now it's only a riverain dream in deep autumn-tide—
The days I waited for audience by Blue Chains side .
