老去愧妻兒 冬來有勸詞 煖寒從飲酒 衝冷少吟詩 戰勝心還壯 齋勤體校羸 由來世間法 損益合相隨 | |
英譯: |
As my old age strides on
I suffer shame from wife and child.
When the cold of winter comes
They urge me to do this or that.
To warm myself against the cold
I abandon myself to wine;
When I collide with freezing weather
I sing fewer songs.
In all these contests
My heart is still strong
But my body belabored
By enforced fasting.
Is not this the world's eternal law,
Where loss and gain balance each other?
Old goes on shamed by wife and child, winter comes I'm urged to this and that. To get warm from the cold I drink wine with abandon, colliding against the freeze I sing poems less. Winning the battle my heart is still strong, striving to fast my body is labored. The eternal law of the world? Loss and gain follow one the other. |
