Wine glass in hand,
Thinking of frivolous things,
Where, you may ask,
Is spring's loveliness the greatest?
Is it in trying out a saddle
On a new white horse,
Or playing before the mirror
With Little Green Moth Eyebrows?
You teach her first
To dance in the palm of your hand.
When she's about to sing before the flowers,
I urge you to become tipsy.
Afterwards I'll ask you about your feelings.
Taking up the wine, thinking of idle things; where is spring loveliness? Trying out a saddle on a new white horse, playing with a mirror, Miss Little Green Moth Eyebrows. You first teach her to dance on the palm of your hand; there she is about to sing before the flowers Let me urge you into tipsiness, after which I'll ask about your feelings. |
