To begin the wintry day

And open a book of verse.
Green-clothed maid reports it's dawn, calling me to get up, to wash and comb. "It's cold this morning, Master had better not go out." But still no guests arrive, so how can I use up the time this idle day? Before the wintry day I warm the wine, open the poetry book. |
