Turbulent seas have been calmed
the throne remembers those who helped
a banquet in honor of all career soldiers
a kindness to those from far and near
this is the greatest of tributaries
so beat the drums and array the musicians
with winter clothes now ready
our officers' valor grows stronger
my orders mistook the court's intent
asking heroes and worthies to bow to old men
as soon as they're done the ceremony starts
alas without dishes from land or sea
but the courtyard is alive with martial games
and the songs on the stage are new
for such an occasion it's never late
how often can we hoist a ram's horn
a single cup brings thoughts of the past
a big jug means more pleasure all around
looking at these men in the army
I wonder how to thank the throne
