Dwelling at ease, never leaving your gate,
you fill your eyes with cloud-swept peaks,
late sun sinking away beside birds, autumn
plains all idleness out beyond humankind.
Far off, I know only distant forest fringes,
can't see things there beneath your eaves,
but a good traveler often goes by moonlight,
and your house won't bother closing gates.
