The goslings are as yellow as the wine,
I love them much when I hold a cup and dine.
Approaching, the prow their necks stretch to defy,
And swarming without line, they dazzle mine eye.
Last night, the rain has beaten their pinions;
Now they fret o'er the waves because of weak sinews.
Soon the dusk will veil the town and guests will go,
And what can you do with the fox — the foe?
