I sigh over myself surviving the turbulent days,
And unable to see you who stay long in a strange place.
Like the horses in the yellow grass, I am falling ill;
Like the wagtails in the sand, in the night, you'll feel a chill.
The walls of ancient Kingdom Chu do like the barriers lay;
While the waters of Wu for you are too broad in the way.
Thinking of you in the morning or night for some ten years,
I cry, and my sleeves are always wet with dripping tears.
