I know well that you'll not come back from the frontier,
When autumn comes the hammering block still I clear.
Because the months severely cold are drawing near;
Still more, I suffer from parting many a year.
Should I be tired in pounding and give up with tear?
Nay, I'll send the clothes afar to the Great Wall to my dear.
Never shall I spare the strength of mine, a female mere,
The echoes resounding in the sphere I wish you'd hear!
