With dashing spirit in its bony frame,
The Dayuan Tartar steed has gained its fame.
Its ears are like the sharpened bamboo canes;
Its hoofs are light as wind sweeping the plains.
Carrying everything before one,
You may trust your life to it to make a run.
It gallops and prances with such a rage,
Ten thousand miles you can go on the rampage!
