A little way below the cliffs of Gorge Wu,
Yet still the moon bites at the White Emperor's walls.
The river darkens when She has a face of woe,
Half of the chamber lightens when She askew rolls.
The army pots are beaten, speeding Dawn to fall;
Moon Toad may find somewhere to lean on for your own!
Not only our Han soldiers now the bows they pull
To keep their guard under the beams that's fading soon.
