The day you came, before the lattice,
Had the plum burst into bloom?
You who come from my village Ought to know its affairs. The day you passed the silk window, Had the chill plum bloomed? You just came from my old village so you know all about village affairs. When you left, outside my window, was it in bloom─ that winter plum? |
