Today my religious fast and purification
Has just ended,
But for a long time we have not shared
The joy and pleasure of wine.
If you fail to bring the wine-cup
To urge me on,
I shall say you are as unfeeling
As the spring breeze.
Religious purification fast today just ended; long we've not shared the pleasure joys of wine. If you don't bring the wine-cup to urge me on then I say you too are unfeeling like the spring breeze.
