Entice us to stroll;

We bid the passing season farewell.
On mornings we go out together
Treading on fallen flowers;

Since I'm a sick old man
I should really retire
But how can you, as a talented official,
Dream of being idle?
What a pity that while you possess
The heart and vigor
To save us from our times,
You must renounce all that
For river views and mountain climbing!
