Is like three months.
One month, since we think of each other so often,
Becomes seven years.
It seems as though we were separated
By rivers and mountains for hundreds of miles.
These nine autumn days bring wind and rain.
Tomorrow the religious fast and purification ends.
Then I shall go in search of you,
Taking my wine-jug with me,
Along with coverlets,
So that we may rest together in drunken sleep.
