To go to visit where the ancients dwell
A wave-rocked skiff to trace the stream is well.
Amid the brooks the sinking sun lies clear.
No mere desire for fishing brings me here!
Through rocky rapids clear the caverns see!
Past sandy shores the smoother eddies flee.
A fishing rod peers out from cane-clad isle;
From cottage study reading sounds the while.
With flowing speech the evening scene we view,
And rise at dawn to meet the cooling dew.
When home returned, a rustic gourd we share.
Such life a constant feast, a noble fare!
