Now whitened by willow-down, the path a long rug seems,
And thick as coins the lily-pads dot o'er the streams.
Close by the bamboo roots the unseen marmots keep,
On sandy shoal wild ducklings by their mother sleep.
Willow catkins on the path making a white carpet lotus leaves on the stream a sting of big green coins pheasant chicks, invisible among the bamboo shoots ducklings on the sand dozing next to their mother. |
