This one-story inn at Nan-king ferry
Is a miserable lodging-place for the night—
But across the dead moon's ebbing tide,
Lights from Kua-chou beckon on the river.
At Jinling ferry-head, Inside a small hill bungalow, A traveller found his evening bed, Wherein to feed his solitary woe. At ebb-tide, the oblique moon came to shed Her pallor o'er the darkening flow, While flickering lights sporadically red Indecated Guazhou. |
