Of the ‘Lien’ leaf’s emerald hue
$(So-fei glides amongst the lilies)$

Rose-hued are the lotus-blossoms,
Rose-hued, too, the maiden’s cheeks;
$(Is it So-fei’s form I follow,)$
$(Or the flowers she seeks?)$
