ALONE I sit surrounded by deep bamboo groves;
I thrum my lute and hum my songs,
In the deep woods no one is aware of me
But the bright moon comes to look at me and I respond.
I sit alone in the dark bamboos Play my lute and sing and sing Deep in the woods where no one knows I am But the bright moon comes and shines on me there. I sit alone among dark bamboos, Strum the lute and unloose my voice. Grove so deep, no one knows. The moon comes to shine upon me. |
