英譯: |
The recluse returns home and lies down in peace,
His banked-up cares are washed away,
He has broken with high-flying ambition
And passed on to the peace of remote obscurity.
Day and night I nurse my solitary thoughts.
Who can besmirch mu loftiness of soul?
The fish who bore down to the depths and the birds that fly up to the heavens have nothing in common.
How can I fail to be comforted by my sincerity of mind?
The hermit in his lone abode Nurses his thoughts cleansed of care. Them he projects to the wild goose For it to his distant Sovereign to bear. Who will be moved by the sincerity Of my vain day-and-night prayer? What comfort is for my loyalty When fliers and sinkers can't compare? |
