THE cassia tree in the moon sheds its brightness, the autumnal dew is light;
Although her light robe is thin she has not changed it;
On a silver lute she strums diligently all night long
For she is nervous and does not want to go back to an empty room.
Chilled by light autumn dew beneath the crescent moon, She will not change her dress though her silk robe is thin. Playing all night on silver lute an endless tune, Afraid of empty rooms, she can't bear to go in. |
