題名: 金谷園
作者: 杜牧
繁華事散逐香塵, 流水無情草自春。 日暮東風怨啼鳥, 落花猶似墮樓人。
英譯: A wilderness alone remains, all garden glories gone; The river runs unheeded by, weeds grow unheeded on. Dusk comes, the east wind blows, and birds pipe forth a mournful sound; Petals, like nymphs from balconies, come tumbling to the ground.
THE splendours and luxuries (of the Tsin dynasty) are scattered and lost along with the fragrant dust; Yet the waters still flow on their passionless way and the flowers still bloom in spring. At dusk the east wind resents the calls of the (roosting) birds And the falling flowers remind me of the girl who threw herself from the tower.
Stories of passion make sweet dust, Calm water, grasses unconcerned. At sunset, when birds cry in the wind, Petals are falling like a girl's robe long ago.
A wilderness alone remains, all garden glories gone; The river runs unheeded by, weeds grow unheeded on. Dusk comes, the east wind blows, and birds pipe forth a mournful sound; Petals, like nymphs from balconies, come tumbling to the ground.
Past splendors are dispersed and blend with fragrant dust, Unfeelingly the river runs and grass grows in spring. At dusk in the east wind the flowers will fall just Like "Green Pearl" tumbling down and mournful birds will sing.
Those sumptuous times have disappeared, along with their scented dust; The river flows insensately; the grass grows as it will. The east wind in the evening brings complaining cries from birds $(And)$ flowers come tumbling like a figure falling from an upper room.
