The birds have all flown $(to their roost in the tree)$,
The last cloud has just floated lazily by;
But we never tire of each other, not we,
$(As we sit there together,)$ —the mountain and I.
"The birds have all flown to their roost in the tree, The last cloud has just floated lazily by; But we never tire of each other, not we, As we sit there together,─the mountains and I." The birds have flown away on pinions high, A cloud in heedless mood goes floating by. The two that never change their fixed regard, Are ye, fair Ching-t'ing Hills, and I, your bard. All the Birds had flown away. One Cloud its aimless circle ran, Unwearied gazing on each other, It and Ching-ting Shan. The flocks of birds up high have flown away, One single cloud moves leisurely along. For looking at each other without getting tired There is only Ching-t'ing Mountain. |
