I
This year I am living alone in an empty room;
In my dreams I see the mountain passes over which so
often you have left me;
No wild goose runs to me with your letters...
Forlorn, I watch the new moon shaped like the eyebrow
of a moth.
II
Weary of plucking willow twigs by the green tower—
Idly, I gather lotus blossoms beside the blue pool.
I ride my horse to the edge of the terrace, but not a
sign of my man...
A fierce battle must be starting on the Mound
Brushed by Clouds.
