North of the precipitous cliffs of the White Salt Mountains, East of the
ancient city on a spur of the Red Cuirass, We have a level site bordered
by a calm stream And walled around by hills of almost equal highness.
Haze and frost reduce the brilliance and warmth of the sun on the fields;
Rice is ready for harvest, and one can smell the crop in the winds. Social
life keeps one as busy as a spinning thistledown; For a while, I shall just
stay with these cassia plants.
