Knowing very well thatched study is small and low, The swallows
of the riverside purposely come often, Carrying mud to soil my lute and
my books, And driving the flying insects to strike my face.
The swallows know well that my hut is small and low , So from the river often they come to and fro . They stain my lute and scrolls when pecking mud $(for nest)$ , And flitter over me while chasing the flying pest . |
