I heard only recently that my younger sister of the Wei family Had gone
to Chung-li, which was still safe from the rebels. There you follow your
father-in-law, prefect of that place, Here I am in the Capital lamenting
that the Court is gone. Here is Ching-chao I note the northern stars
turn to indicate spring; There in the Huai valley you see trees blossom
in the southern breeze. It is no longer possible to see the usual congratulatory messengers arriving; That has brought tears to my face.
