At dawn we leave White King,
its clouds all coloured,
For passage to Kiang-ling
in one sun’s circuit:
While both banks' gibbons cry
calls still unceasing,
Our light boat has gone by
many fold mountains.
At daybreak I took my leave of Baidi among the dappled clouds And travelled back the hundreds of miles to Jiangling in a day. The apes on both the river banks cried out unceasingly; My light boat passed by mountains, countless mountains, on the way. |
