But my home is a tall house built beside the Imperial
grounds,
And my good man bears arms in the Palace of Radiance.
I know, sir, that your heart is pure as the sun and the
moon.
But in serving my husband I have vowed to be with
him in life and dead;
So I now return your two shining pearls with a tear on
each,
Regretting that we did not meet while I was still unwed.
