Wild man of Ssu-ming Mountain,
Incomparable Ho Chi-chen,
in Ch'ang-an when we first met,
calling me a "banished immortal" -
He used to love the "thing in the cup"
(now he's dust under the pine tree),
and traded the golden tortoise for wine-
my robe wet with tears, remembering.
