Parrots dwell in the west country.
Foresters catch them with nets, to bring them to us.
Lovely women toy with them, morning and evening,
As they go to and from their courtyard pavilions.
They are given lordly gifts of golden cages—for their own storage!
Bolted in—their feathered coats are spoiled.
How unlike both swan and crane:
Wind-swirled and -tossed, they fly off into the clouds!
