SINCE you, sir, went away, I have not returned to tend my fading loom, For thinking of you I am like the moon at the full, That nightly $(wanes and)$ loses its bright splendour. Ever since the day You went, And left me here alone, My lord, The world is changed! Upon the loom The web, half woven, hangs Untouched.
