She has already mounted her seven-perfumed carriage;
Her heart and his both await the colorful sunrise clouds.
The wind is light, just enough to tinkle her pendants;
The moonlight is pale, not lending charm to the flowers.
The tender cassia blossoms spread their fragrance far;
The tall elm trees cast their slanting shadows.
When passing the fortune-teller's shop in Ch'eng-tu,
I once envied his knowledge about the magic raft.
