Cold comfort
To light my way upon the stair,

Black clouds,
The hurried Aight of birds,
Water Aowing grayly
In the dusk.
A rising storm,
Sails full-spread
Boats tugging at their mooring ropes.
To take advantage of the wind.
In the dark,
A moving point of fire
The distant lantern
Of a passing boat.
