Today it's fluttering down on our orchid isles.
Delighted to have come a thousand miles,
It's laughing wildly, promising the spring.
On the Dragon Sands it drenches our Han banners,
Phoenix-wing fans welcome its Chinese white.
'My Liao-tung crane left me so long ago,
By now his feather-robe must have grown sere.’
