AT the rocks' foot, bright autumn water,
At the rocks' side, thin autumn grass.
Fragrance of wild bamboo pervades my clothes,
Countless leaves drooping luxuriantly.
Over the peaks the moon returns,
Toad-light hung in a lovely sky.
The fairy maid watches dew from her cassia
Fall in twinkling droplets under the clouds.
Chill and lonely, the gardenia drops its seeds,
A mountain crevice weeps with crystal tears.
Down below Chang Chung-wei is living,
When he sits down to study, his desk falls apart.
