Elder Stonegate treats the body like a dream;
$(his)$ hand-planted sandalwood has grown into a grove.
He sits and ponders, ponders, that he is not a man of old:
Lotus Blossoms everywhere, and for whose use?
Now at seventy he has forgotten the contentions of the world,
forgotten love and desire, his sinews weak.
He'd better not gaze from Eastern Balcony over the spring fields:
blossoms are blooming, the sun rising, and pheasants in flight.
