題名: 不見
作者: 杜甫
不見李生久,佯狂真可哀。世人皆欲殺,吾意獨憐才。敏捷詩千首,飄零酒一桮。匡山讀書處,頭白好歸來。
英譯: It is a long while since I have seen you, Li Po. A pity that you have feigned madness— The whole world would have you die, But my heart dotes on your gifted soul, For the thousand poems of your nimble wit, For the wine-cup balm of such a wanderer. Go to your old place of studying—Mount Kuang: Come back, O white-headed one! It is time!
Haven't seen $(my friend)$ Li Po for some time: It's really too bad, his feigning madness. The whole world would want him executed, Save I, who cherish his abilities. A thousand fine and spirited poems $(he's written)$, With a cup of wine, and wandering $(in solitude)$. Here I am in K'uang Shan, where he used to study: $(He'd do worse than)$ come back—now that his hair's turned white.
It's lon since I have seen Mr.Li. His feigned waywardness is truly deplorable. The world would condemn him to death; I say his genius alone is worthy of esteem. With such quick brilliance manifest in a thousand poems, To remain a vagobond just for a cup of wine! Here are the K'uang Hills where he studied when he was young. He may very well come back, now that he is old.
Long have I not seen you, Li. Poor man, for your feigned madness The world would have you die. But my heart dotes on your gifted soul For the thousand poems of your nimble wit, For the one wine-cup—your penury's balm. So to your old place of reading in Mount Kuang Come back, 0 white-headed one! $(It is time.)$
