I have not seen Abbot Min for thirty years, With many tears I send this
message now. Can you still do many of the interesting things you did?
To whom do you show the fresh poems in your old age? I imagine
your chess pawns are still moving under the bamboos of the quiet
ravine; I remember the fine kashaya you wore when we went boating
on the lake. I hear you have been telling friends that I am now an
official; Well, it is nothing more than a stupid white head, drunk and
asleep.
