英譯: |
A traveler, a traveler, Tzu-mei his name,
white hair tousled, dangling below the ears,
through the years gathering acorns in the wake of the monkey pack:
cold skies at dusk within a mountain valley.
No word from the middle plain, no hope of going home;
hands and feet chilled and chapped, skin and flesh grown numb,
ah-ah, song the first, a song already sad;
mournful winds for my sake come down from the sky.
A traveler, a traveler, Tzu-mei his name, white hair tousled, dangling below the ears, through the years gathering acorns in the wake of the monkey pack: cold skies at dusk within a mountain valley. No word from the middle plain, no hope of going home; hands and feet chilled and chapped, skin and flesh grown numb, ah-ah, song the first, a song already sad; mournful winds for my sake come down from the sky. There's a wanderer, there's a wanderer, his name is Tzu-mei. His head is white, his tangled hair tumbles past his ears. He lives all year on acorns he gathers like Master Tsu the monkey trainer, Under the cold sky at dusk in mountain valleys. There is no news from the Central Plain; he cannot return. His hands and feet are frostbitten, his skin and flesh numb. Alas! This is my first song, oh! a song already sad; A pitying wind comes to me from the sky. A refugee, a refugee here I am, White hair dishevelled, hanging about my ears; Picking acorns, not to feed monkeys; Though the day is cold and dusk is falling in the valley. No news from the central plains-impossible to return. Hands and feet chapped, frozen numb. Alas! this, my first song, full of sorrow, Calling down a mournful wind from the sky. |
